Accessibility Statement

Appitome Inc. wants appitome.com to be usable by everyone, including people who navigate with a keyboard, use a screen reader, or need larger text and higher contrast. This statement sets out where we are, what we know is not yet right, and how to reach us if you hit a barrier.
Conformance target
We are working toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines published by the W3C. In the European Union, the harmonised standard EN 301 549 currently incorporates WCAG 2.1 Level AA, with an update to 2.2 in progress. We have chosen 2.2 AA as the target so the site stays current as that update lands.
Current status
This site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means most of the standard is met and some parts are not yet. We would rather say that plainly than claim a level we have not verified.
What we have done
- Every page declares a language and a viewport, and uses real headings in order.
- Images carry alternative text, and images that are purely decorative are marked so screen readers skip them.
- Form fields have visible labels rather than relying on the greyed-out hint inside the field, which disappears the moment someone starts typing.
- Interactive elements show a visible focus indicator, so keyboard users can see where they are.
- Interactive targets are sized to at least 24 by 24 CSS pixels.
- The site is tested with automated tooling on every release as part of a pre-launch review.
Known limitations
We are aware of the following and are working on them:
- Colour contrast. Some secondary and muted text sits below the 4.5 to 1 ratio the standard asks for. We are adjusting those tones.
- Screen reader testing. Our automated testing catches roughly a third of accessibility problems. A full manual pass with NVDA and VoiceOver across every page is scheduled and not yet complete.
- Third party content. Embedded content from other providers is outside our direct control. Where we find an accessibility problem in one, we raise it with the provider and look for an alternative.
What we do not use
We do not use an accessibility overlay or a toolbar widget. Overlays do not remediate the underlying defects, and they have repeatedly failed to satisfy courts and regulators. We fix problems in the site itself.
How this was assessed
Self assessment, using automated testing with axe-core against WCAG 2.2 AA rules across every page, plus manual keyboard navigation. No third party audit has been commissioned to date. Last assessed August 25, 2026.
